Matcha Shaved Ice!!

I made an amazing dessert! I had the urge to eat some shaved ice and I thought, I wonder if I could make a matcha flavored shaved ice? I found a recipe to make the matcha syrup and then I started my dessert.

A few months ago I bought a shaved ice machine... and really, it's the best purchased I've made in a while. I love that thing. Anyways, what I included in my dessert: vanilla ice cream on the bottom then the shaved ice on top, used the matcha syrup, added condensed milk and finished it off with boba. It was perfection! My new favorite dessert to make at home. Yum!!

I’m 36 Years Old!

I haven't written a blog in a long while. So here it goes.

I'm glad to be my age. I'm 36 years old with a different mind set than when I was 20 years old. I've had a lot of time to educate myself, explore, travel and just hang out and be me. I've had time to figure out life and then live it... still living life! I'm glad I waited to have kids until I was in my 30's!

There's a lot I'm thankful for... how about lucky! Most people won't say that. But I do feel lucky. I have made many mistakes but I've also made many good decisions. Everything has led me to where I am today. I've never had a career... or should I say, I was never able to achieve it (so far), but because of that, I had no worries of losing a job I cared about once I decided to become a mom.

I have two kids now and I'm truly happy that I can be at home to raise them. That was always my goal/plan since I was in high school. I did not want family or strangers to raise my kids. It had to be me and my husband. So yes, definately lucky to be where I'm at.

In truth, I never thought I would ever have kids because I really don't like kids. Haha. I tolerate kids but I absolute love my kids and they bring me joy every day since they've arrived. Not liking kids did help me to make sure I never had any when I was younger and unprepared.

The first babies I ever held were my own and it's still true to date. I even ran way from my own niece when she was a baby. My brother tried to have me carry her but I always refused. Funny how life is.

I'm not even sure how to end this... so, I will say, new adventures are coming soon for my little family and I can't wait!!

P.S. We are all different people all through our lives and that's okay, that's good you've got to keep moving so long as you remember all the people that you used to be.

Japan Plan

I went to Japan in 2016.

I will be going again this year, yay! This time with Velice and Clifford. The first time I only went with Velice.

I can't wait.

Montreal 2015 (Late Update)

I forgot to mention my trip to Montreal! We went in December of 2015. David had a work conference to attend in Montreal. But I want to go to explore a new place I've never been to. It was a small mini vacation. It felt different being in a country were you don't speak the language, French. But once I started to talk on English everyone would switch over so I could understand. Thank goodness. Haha. I had fun exploring a walking a lot.

I went to so many places. I went to Mont Royal, Montreal Museum of of Fine Arts, The Science Center, The Montreal Museum of Archaeology  and History, Saith Joseph's Oratory and other places I can't think of. I did go out to eat with Dave to some restaurants in Montreal.

Notre-Dame.

Saint Joseph's Oratory.

Me next to Mont Royal Cross.

I also realized that las picture I never posted on my facebook page, so it's only here on my blog.

Wizard World Las Vegas 2016 (Late Update)

I went to Wizard World Las Vegas about 5 days before going on my trip to Japan. This happened back in March 19th. I really wanted to come because Matt Smith was going to be there, but a week before the con, he cancelled. I was so sad and I still went because there were other artists I wanted to meet. I arrived at 7am and took the bus to get to the convention center. Easy bus ride to and from there to the airport. I met Jason D. Frank (original green power ranger,) Sean Maguire, Michael Rooker and William Kircher. They were all nice to meet and I got some pics and autographs from them. I had fun and got to travel this one day just to attend this event. I might do some other close Wizard Worlds in the future. I'm still keeping an eye out for any Matt Smith appearances... he's still on my #1 person I want to meet. O_O

I didn't post any other pics on my facebook albums aside the ones on this blog. It's weird... I guess I forgot because I went to Japan. Oh well.

Equestria L.A. 2015 (Late Update)

So this event was from last year. It's been in my drafts for a while... so here it is!

The vibe was definitely different compared to the vibe of the My Little Pony Fair 2015 in Chicago. There were a lot of guys at this one and I don't think there were any collectors of G1 - G3 generation. (Except me, probably.) The vendor area was really small and all merchandise was specific to My Little Pony Friendship is Magic. I still ended up wearing my G1 my little pony shirt.

I went all 3 days of the convention and it was all the way down in Anaheim too. Dave went with me 1 day and that day I dressed up as Chancellor Pudding Head. I wanted to compete in the cosplay event one of the days and when I tried to go to the timed event on the day, I found out it had been changed because 1 person could not make it later in the day. That was a huge disappointment. I didn't even see any announcement, I went by what my printed booklet said. One of the staff member said that it was tweeted out but I don't even use tweeter? How do I get it if I didn't have it? Yeah, they were very organized. Because of that, it made the whole even such a bummer. The worst part about it, one of the staff members said I probably would have won, like really? You dare even say that too me? Jerk. You don't say things like that when some one is already disappointed. Ha. Okay, enough with that.

Cool plushies.

I met John DeLancie.

Panel with Bonnie Zacherly and Lauren Faust.

MLP art work purchased by Jenn Blake.

Yeah, I hope there are better conventions related to ponies in the future. Or better yet, maybe I'll just stick to the My Little Pony Fair since it's more to what I grew up on and people who go there understand and not hate the older generation. This event was horribly organized and someone who can actually take care of all business was needed. It took forever for David to even get his badge when it should have taken about 1 min. Yeah, volunteers who don't know anything were accepted. Haha. I'm done ranting about the lame staff... haha.

New?

New posts coming soon. I swear it. :-D

Small update. I realized that I love traveling to new places... so that's my current goal. Travel. While I still owe a lot of money from my school  loans, I don't want to suffer by not doing anything in my life. I'm taking everything as it comes and I work, I pay my bills and I still get to do fun things. I don't complain about my life, I'm still here and doing what I need to do. No negativity is my game. I only share the good stuff. Who wants to know all the bad stuff? Not that it's a big deal but I rather stay away from sharing things like that. My name is GLAD right? Haha.

So STAY TUNED! :-)

(That was longer than expected.)

Las Vegas and Star Trek 2015

Since Dave's and my bday are like right next to each other we decided to go to Las Vegas for the weekend, August 8th and 9th. I wasn't really too exited... it's just Vegas. But Dave convinced me that we could see a show and I liked that idea. After that was decided I started looking into my conventions and noticed the Star Trek convention was the same weekend! So I ended up getting us tickets for Sunday for it.

Dave buying our show tickets.

Waiting to go into the show area.

I made this short and simple.

Anime Expo 2015

I went to Anime Expo for 1 day. It was really fun and I dressed up as Videl from Dragon BallZ. I explored the convention halls, saw a ton of cosplayers and visited my Voltage game exhibitor.

Here are some of my Voltage pics.

It was fun. Until the next time. Whenever it may be.

Diablo III - Wizard

So I bought Diablo III and the expansion pack, Reaper of Souls about 2 or 3 months ago. I was to busy to start playing because of work and working on my Chancellor Puddinghead cosplay. I finally started playing the game last Monday or Wednesday I believe. I've been playing few hours here and there. Whenever I've had time, even after work at AMC. I'll come home and play at 1am and sleep at 3am. Haha. Whoops. Oh well. I don't play games often but the Diablo series games I really love playing.  I'm so glad I bought the game I really enjoy it. I picked the Wizard class to start up as. I name my character Kristina, a Female Wizard, sorceress of course, but the game just says Wizard. I'm already level 30 with my character.

The character look changes often because newer items pop up. This is what she currently looks like. But if I play tomorrow it can change. I have to get all the good stuff equipped to her.

Sailor Moon Crystal - Episode 26: Replay, Never Ending.

So finally Sailor Moon Crystal has come to an end. The last episode aired this past Saturday the 18th. I thought it was a great episode and so emotional. I think the animators did a great job on the episode. They really brought the manga to life. I'm satisfied with the show even though it feels like it went fast, that's how the manga was. I really hope to see more of the show. I want to see the Sailor Stars!

I really love this scene because it was in the manga!

Mother and daughter

Future Neo Queen Serenity and Sailor Chibi-Moon

End scene. I hope this means there will be another season :-D

Also, I just got in the mail my pre-order of Sailor Moon R, the new dub version. Hehe. So happy to have it. The second part to this will come out later this year. I can't wait!

Emily Kinney - This is War Tour

There's a lot of events that have happened in the last month or two. I've been slow on posting anything but here goes the first one.

I went to see Emily Kinney in concert. It was her This is War tour. It was at a small venue but it was perfect setting. It was at the Troubadour in Weho. I got there early with Dave and waited until 8pm to go in. There we two opening acts before she went on stage with her band. Her music was good and fun. She's a little goofy, weird and says strange things but still I enjoyed her show. She sang two songs that were on The Walking Dead and most from her own stuff. At the end of the show I bought a canvas bag with her logo on it and CD.

Here's a link to see all the other photos I got.

Maybe I should post some of the videos I got? Maybe, if I get around to it.

MLP Fair is Next Week!

The time has come. Next week is the My Little Pony Fair. June 27th and 28th. I'm leaving on Thursday night June 25th and arriving on Friday morning June 26th. I can't wait. I have my cosplay ready and done. :-) I'm so excited. I get to go out of town with my boy and go to a convention full of ponies. Don't know what to expect, but I know it will be super fun.

I haven't posted anything in months! Wow.
