Going to Xena Con!

It's almost February. Xena con is on February 20th - 22nd. Apparently this is the final Xena con, so yeah that's why I decided to go. Well, it was more like, I kinda wanted to go but then Lucy Lawless was confirmed then I really wanted to go. Haha. I'm only planning to go on Saturday 21st. Why? Because that's when Lucy Lawless will be there. Eeek. Haha. I can't wait! I'm so excited. I purchased and autograph and photo op with her. I have also started to watch the series in anticipation of the con. I'm on season 5 right now. Once I'm done with this, I need one more season :-) It's on Netflix so that helps a lot.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot, there is a free event on Friday, the day of the con. A karaoke event! Free for all! I'm totally going. I was to see which Xena starts show up and sing. :-) Hopefully it good and fun. I'm going to try to get there early to get a good spot upfront. Hehe.

20th Annual Holiday Lamplight Celebration

December 6th, 2014. Heritage Square Museum. Dave and I went to an reenactment of what it was like during the 1800 - 1900 in Los Angeles. When we first came into the first location, Father Christmas sat there telling stories. He really did an amazing job portraying that character. He was so knowledgeable on the era and anything related to Christmas and holiday stuff. The costumes everyone of the volunteers were pretty awesome. One of the first stops was in a type of dining room in a hotel where we watched people go about a holiday and talking business etc.  Everyone is mingling and having fun when they decide to dance. They dance to Cotton Eyed Joe. I was actually happy and amazed, it seemed complicated because everyone was just dancing at a pace. The volunteers at the event actually made everyone dance too. So we all learned how to dance to Cotton Eyed Joe. It was really fun but I kept trying to catch up to what everyone was doing. It takes time for me to do these line dances. Haha.

The next house we went to for this Reenactment was next door. It's nicely kept and looked so awesome from outside. At this time I did notice a cat wondering around. Haha. I was distracted by it. O_O So we went into the house were we sang Christmas songs and learned about different holiday traditions from different ethnicities. In the next house we visited we played a games with the family in the reenactment. I can't remember to much on what else happened but I know it was fun. Haha. After this if was the end and we were taken to the refreshment area to leave. That's when I spotted the cat. Oh my, what a fluffy and cuddly cat. He was purrfect! I loved him. I petted the cat for a little bit then went exploring the store that was inside with Dave.

I never knew this place existed until that night. I'm really hoping to go for another event or doing the Holiday Lamplight Celebration again. It's definitely worth going. It was fun and I learned things I never knew about my city. :-)

New Pony Merch January 2015

A small update on new pony stuff. Nothing big but here it is. These are pony blind box figures. Instead of the bag type, these came in a small box. I put a quarter so you can kinda of see the size of them. The top pictures are from series 1 and I got all of them off ebay. The second picture with two ponies are from series 2 and I bought them from a girl I met off craigslist. She's pretty cool and we both love G4 ponies. :-) I really like these ponies. They are quite accurate to how the ponies are supposed to look like. And they are a good size too. Can't wait to display these. Right now they are living in baggies inside a plastic bin. They are well stored until they have a future home. LOL.

My Little Pony Want List and Fair

I'm finally making a MLP want list. All the ponies, cards and merch that I want. I've always known what stuff I wanted but now I can actually see it. It's not complete yet, but I've already finished 4 pages with items and some pics. Can't wait to have it done.

I also need to keep working on my inventory. I worked on it a little bit this past Sunday. Slowly but surely, I will get it done. Haha. Hopefully before the "My Little Pony Fair" in Chicago in June. It would be useful if I knew what I have before I buy anything at the fair. Hehe. I can't wait to finish and to go to the MLP Fair.

Omg, that reminds me, I have to start on my cosplay for the fair. I still have time. I'll try to start in March. I need to plan what I need and save just a little more money for my materials.

OMG No Ponies??

I just realized I haven't made any post about ponies? What it this? I have no idea. Most posts are Sailor Moon. I need more ponies. Well, let's see what's new... I have these two folders I ordered of Zazzle.com

They are so cute and perfect for all my trading card needs.  I recently found all my old DragonballZ, Sailor Moon, Cardcaptor Sakura, etc. I need space and folders for all these cards. So I purchased these (pics below) just for that purpose.

I'll post more stuff later!

Pompeii Exhibit

I've been wanting to see the Pompeii exhibit for quite sometime. But finally I went to see it on December 4th, 2014. It was perfect timing because it end on this month, January 2015. There were a lot of cool stuff that survived the disaster. It was amazing seeing all the artifacts.

Some glass that survived a long time...

Salute to Supernatural - Burbank 2014

My first Supernatural Con! On man... it was so much fun. I went to the karaoke kings event the night before Saturday. It was also a free event for anyone. So I went with David. I had gotten sick that week so I wasn't at 100% percent. I actually started feeling bleh during the night and left the event. I did enjoy it and took many pics.

Here's a few Karaoke Kings pics.

The next day (Saturaday) was my con day. I only went one day. I only found out about the con about two months before it happened. I attended all the panels that day. I got a photo op with Misha and Mark and also an autograph from Mark Sheppard.

Gil Mckinney and Osric Chau

 Timothy Omundson and Tahmoh Penikett

 Mark Sheppard

Richard Speight Jr, Rob Benedict and Matt Cohen
