Montreal 2015 (Late Update)

I forgot to mention my trip to Montreal! We went in December of 2015. David had a work conference to attend in Montreal. But I want to go to explore a new place I've never been to. It was a small mini vacation. It felt different being in a country were you don't speak the language, French. But once I started to talk on English everyone would switch over so I could understand. Thank goodness. Haha. I had fun exploring a walking a lot.

I went to so many places. I went to Mont Royal, Montreal Museum of of Fine Arts, The Science Center, The Montreal Museum of Archaeology  and History, Saith Joseph's Oratory and other places I can't think of. I did go out to eat with Dave to some restaurants in Montreal.

Notre-Dame.

Saint Joseph's Oratory.

I also realized that las picture I never posted on my facebook page, so it's only here on my blog.

Wizard World Las Vegas 2016 (Late Update)

I went to Wizard World Las Vegas about 5 days before going on my trip to Japan. This happened back in March 19th. I really wanted to come because Matt Smith was going to be there, but a week before the con, he cancelled. I was so sad and I still went because there were other artists I wanted to meet. I arrived at 7am and took the bus to get to the convention center. Easy bus ride to and from there to the airport. I met Jason D. Frank (original green power ranger,) Sean Maguire, Michael Rooker and William Kircher. They were all nice to meet and I got some pics and autographs from them. I had fun and got to travel this one day just to attend this event. I might do some other close Wizard Worlds in the future. I'm still keeping an eye out for any Matt Smith appearances... he's still on my #1 person I want to meet. O_O

I didn't post any other pics on my facebook albums aside the ones on this blog. It's weird... I guess I forgot because I went to Japan. Oh well.

Equestria L.A. 2015 (Late Update)

So this event was from last year. It's been in my drafts for a while... so here it is!

The vibe was definitely different compared to the vibe of the My Little Pony Fair 2015 in Chicago. There were a lot of guys at this one and I don't think there were any collectors of G1 - G3 generation. (Except me, probably.) The vendor area was really small and all merchandise was specific to My Little Pony Friendship is Magic. I still ended up wearing my G1 my little pony shirt.

I went all 3 days of the convention and it was all the way down in Anaheim too. Dave went with me 1 day and that day I dressed up as Chancellor Pudding Head. I wanted to compete in the cosplay event one of the days and when I tried to go to the timed event on the day, I found out it had been changed because 1 person could not make it later in the day. That was a huge disappointment. I didn't even see any announcement, I went by what my printed booklet said. One of the staff member said that it was tweeted out but I don't even use tweeter? How do I get it if I didn't have it? Yeah, they were very organized. Because of that, it made the whole even such a bummer. The worst part about it, one of the staff members said I probably would have won, like really? You dare even say that too me? Jerk. You don't say things like that when some one is already disappointed. Ha. Okay, enough with that.

Cool plushies.

I met John DeLancie.

Yeah, I hope there are better conventions related to ponies in the future. Or better yet, maybe I'll just stick to the My Little Pony Fair since it's more to what I grew up on and people who go there understand and not hate the older generation. This event was horribly organized and someone who can actually take care of all business was needed. It took forever for David to even get his badge when it should have taken about 1 min. Yeah, volunteers who don't know anything were accepted. Haha. I'm done ranting about the lame staff... haha.
