I started thinking about my nicknames this morning. Why? Because I got call from Carlos and he just wanted to see what I have been up to this past few days. Towards the end of our conversation he called me "Chief." He's the only person who calls me that and I think it's funny. Am I leader? eh, not really... he probably seems me as one. Who knows!
That brought me back to when I first decided that I wanted to use the nick "Glad" more often. It was during my AP Psychology class. The instructor wanted to know if there was a nickname that you prefer to be called by. Only a few friends at this point would call me "Glad," but I figured, why not. "Glad" is my favorite one out of all the other ones.
I remember back in middle school one specific person would call me "Gladiator." It's a rather long nickname... so I never really liked it. But whenever someone says the word, "Gladiator," now, or I hear it somewhere on TV, or read it, I can't help to think that it's referring to me. I didn't like it then, but now I like it.
Some of the other nicknames people call me by are Gigi, Glady or Gladie (which ever, same way to say it) and Gladisky. Cliff's the only one who calls me Gladisky. I don't know why, but he wanted to give me some Russian type name I guess because that's how it sounds like.
Yeah... that's all.
